Memoranda of Agreement

The unit maintains partnerships with local public and parochial school systems to provide undergraduate and graduate programs and courses that focus on the goals of the school systems and the professional development needs of pre- and in-service teachers. Specifically, unit faculty maintain the belief that a connection to P-12 schools will:

  1. Enrich the educational experience and preparation of candidates
  2. Promote on going professional development learning of practicing teacher through increased engagement with the University.
  3. Support P-12 School districts recruiting, preparing, and retaining a new generation of highly qualified teachers
  4. Build school leadership capacity in an era of heightened accountability
  5. Give candidates a broader understanding of their future possibilities through real world experiences and opportunities.
